Deptford station redevelopment
Deptford station will be redeveloped as part of a mixed-use regeneration project.
Deptford station is one of London's oldest stations. As part of a £25m regeneration scheme which will see a new public square created around the station, its Grade 2 listed carriage ramp will be restored as a pedestrian access route, with the ramp's arches being used for commercial premises.
Funding will come from the ODPM Thames Gateway regeneration funds. Construction is expected to commence in 2006 and the new station entrance is scheduled for January 2007.
