Slip roads onto the roundabout at South Mimms have been widened from two to three lanes.

These measures at Junction 23, where the M25 meets the A1 and A1(M), were taken by the Highways Agency to help prevent queues for the roundabout affecting motorway traffic. Work was carried out 24 hours a day and included other improvements such as new sign gantries and altered markings on the roundabout.
